DescriptionAbout buying a house in Market Place and all arguments in favour: Influence in the Corporation, command of other property etc. Thin cover of snow and extreme cold. Has procured gate on salt marshes for Mr Dundas' brown mare. Advises Mr Dundas to 'send the hounds amongst your tenants in Cleveland to be quartered there til they are wanted to go into the North as they will be of great service to them and by bleeding them before they go and swimming in the sea will be of the greatest service to themby way of prevention from madness whcih will be very well to guard against for the numbers of people that have been bit by mad dogs that have gone thro' this place to coin for medicines makes it very shocking'
