DescriptionSir Lawrence purchased an annuity on the Iife of Thomas Dundas Esquire for the equivalent of over £23000 (agents' commission and other charges included). Subsequent accounts are rendered by Robert Foley & Co of Paris (to 1767), Messrs Panchaud (to 1769) and Sir John Lambert (to 1780). payments out of this account include:

1. 7200 livres to Mr Nielson on account of the Gobeline tapestry, 29 Nov 1766, and a similar sum to Mr NieIson by order of Thomas Dundas 9 Jul 1767
2 1770 - 28 Jun, to cash paid the manufacture of glasses according to receipt. 5 Aug, £22 paid for Mr Chippendale
3. 1772 - 28 Aug, to packing and custom house fees on four boxes containing trimmings. 29 Aug, paid Mrs Alexander for the above trimmings, carriage of a parcel from Lyons for Mr Edgar. 19 Sep, paid Bachelier for 5 china cups and a memoire of China
