DescriptionRecites:
(1) Feoffment by Edward Bland of Rowes, yeoman, to William Bland, yeoman, his brother, of a messuage of Edward Bland wherein William Bland then lived; also a messuage with close behind now occupied by Michael Aislaby, adjoining on east the dwelling house and lands of Thomas Aislabie, on west lands and tenement of Richard Kipling, on north Town Street, on south Backlane. 24 December 1765.

(2) Demise by William Bland of Bowes, yeoman to John Rodick of Richmond, merchant, of property as above. 26 January 1787.

(3) Will of William Bland bequeathing to Ann his wife all houses, lands, household and shop goods, and implements, and appointing her executrix. 5 January 1787.

(4) Lease/Release (1) Ann Bland, widow, (2) John Petty of Bowes, yeoman (3) John Rodick of Richmond, merchant (4) John Foster of Penrith co Cumberland, linen manufacturer (5) George Rablah of Barnard Castle, grocer, relating to properties of Ann Bland in Bowes as above. 13 December 1787.

(5) Feoffment (1) John Foster of Penrith, linen manufacturer, (2) George Rablah, grocer, (3) George Frederick Dote of Bowes, gent (4) Robert Wood of Barnard Castle, gent, of props in Bowes of (1) bought of Ann Bland. 5 July 1793.

(6) Feoffment by George Frederick Dote to Charles Copeland of Bowes, innkeeper of (a) dwellinghouse with garth in Bowes adjoining Town Street of Bowes on north, Castle wall on south, house and garth of John Newton on east and Milburn garth on west late in the occupation of John Stoddart now of Joseph Lynn
and Henry Whitfield as tenants, and (b) 2 messuages with garden behind adjoining house and lands of William Walton on east, house and lands of George Frederick Dote on west and south and town street of Bowes on north in the occupation of Joseph Bainbridge and another. 18 May 1805.

(7) Feoffment (1) Charles Copeland late of Bowes then of Staindrop, gent, (2) William Sugden esq, of Keighley. Property as in (6b) above. 13 August 1806.

(8) Lease/Release (1) William Sugden of Keighley esq, (2) John Lyon and Charles Lyon esqs, of Hetton House, co Durham. Property as in (6b) above. 1-2 August 1812.
