William Dent, William Dalstonn, George Hawnebie, William Wilsonn jr., Thomas Dodsworth, William Willsonn sr., Anthony Wilsonn, Christopher Alderson, Gyles Hawnebie, Thomas Hawnebie, William Parkin sr., and jr., John Taylor, Christopher Whitell, Richard Whitell, Christopher Aldersonn, the wife of Anthony Whittell, Reynold Brakine, Henry Pinckney, Henry Hawnebie, Mark Hawnebie, Christopher Hawnebie, John Aldersom, the wife of Thomas Whittell, James Bursey and James Whittell of Gilmonby, Yorks., all tenants and farmers.

Recites 1. that parties (2) were severally possessed by grant from William Halliley the father and Thomas Halliley his son of several tenements, farms and appurtenances in Gilmonby, in the tenancy of parties (2) for term of 1000 years, of which 20 years were then expired.

2. that William Halliley by indenture of [1598/9] February 15 conveyed to Martin Morrett and John Leatham the manor of Gilmonby, to the use of himself, i.e., William Halliley for life, with remainder to sons William, Philip, John and Ellis and son-in-law Robert Taylor, for term of 13 years, remainder to use of William Halliley sr. September 1603, whereupon said sons and son-in-law became entitled to prems for term of 13 years .....that the estate and interest of Phillip, John and Robert in said manor had passed to Willam jr for residue of term.

Agreed that (2) should peaceably and quietly hold the props in their several tenures for residue of term of 13 years, without disturbance by parties (1) or by Philip and John Halliley or by Robert Taylor. It was also agreed that parties (2) should enjoy or execute any enclosure already effected or projected by common agreement, that they might alter "decayed" fences; not, however, setting the new fence more than 4 yards further out, that they might build lodges and shelters for their cattle and that they might quarry stone for these purposes.
