Description | Bill of indictment of the inhabitants of the township of Cloughton for not repairing part of the road from Whitby to Scarborough
From 8 October 1821 the highway has been in disrepair in the township of Cloughton from a stone post dividing the road repaired by the township of Burniston from that repaired by the township of Cloughton, and extending to the village of Cloughton, being 2,500 yards in length and 17 feet in breadth
