- an agreement with the inhabitants of Ruswarp: the highway there has become so narrow by reason of the flooding of the River Esk, that it cannot be repaired without purchase of adjoining lands called Howl Carr belonging to Bushell Anningson and Timothy Wiggoner, guardians of the minor, to purchase 5 1/2 yards of land in breadth and in length the whole of the close, paying £5, and that they will repair the highway and make two steds or jetties for securing the highway and build a wall on 1/2 a yard of the way, n.d.
