| Administrative history | These agreements or resolutions were enrolled under the Act of 1782 (22 George III cap. 83, s. 4) which empowered parishes adopting its workhouse rules for "in-relief" to appoint paid guardians of the poor and visitors who were incorporated and could raise loans.
