TitleConditions of agreement of lease of five years
DescriptionThe term : 5 years land starting 1 Mar, buildings starting 12 May.

The rent payable by 1 Jun then half yearly. First payment Whitsuntide 1854. Tenant to pay lord's rent and all parochial dues, to keep fences and buildings in repair except main walls and timbers. No part of farm to be ploughed without express permission of trustees £20 penalty per acre. No part of meadow to be mown twice in a year £20 penalty per acre. If hay or other produce be taken in distress the landlords shall sell it to be eaten on the premises and the purchasers shall bring their cattle and have use of the barns etc free. Tenant to spread compost and manure. Tenant not to cut down wood or let any part of property without permission. No part to be depastured by horses in last year of tenancy.
Robert and William Swithenbank as trustees under the will of the late James Chamley have offered £130 p.a. and subject to the conditions the trustees have accepted.
