| Description | Horton in Ribblesdale school is administered by several bodies;-
1. The Foundation Managers (set up under the Education Act 1902) : responsible for running the school educationally, appointing teachers, etc
2. The Foundation Governors (set up under the 1915 scheme) : responsible for running the school buildings, house and land.
3. The Exhibition Governors (set up under the 1915 scheme) : responsible for administering the rest of the endowment of the school, and for paying a sum (originally £45 p.a. but from 1970 E1250 p.a.) to the Foundation Governors. |
