Administrative historyBrompton by Sawdon is a parish lying eight miles to the South West of Scarborough. The church there is dedicated to All Saints. The marriage of William Wordsworth and Mary Hutchinson took place here on the 4th October 1802. Their marriage entry can be seen in PR/BRO/1/7 on microfilm [MIC 0019].
