DescriptionGates erected during the period the moor of Middleham is stocked, and gates taken down when the cattle are removed. An accident occurred at one of the gates on the Middleham Coverham Road to Mr Chris Other, a banker residing at Coverham Abbey, since when he has directed men to take down the gates and walls to the aggrievement of the lord and the gait owners.
Opinion is that the lord should proceed to an action in the High Court : meanwhile re erecting the gates at the appropriate period
