Summary of case: Alfred Hare was in business with his brother, Harry Skipworth Hare, who appeared with him at the local tribunal in Sept 1916. It was agreed at that time that the brother would join up and Alfred would carry on the business, in which they had a lot invested. The firm was partly working for the government, as well as for local farmers and was making coffins. They had several months work booked. A third brother was also serving in the forces. Alfred had joined the N.R.V.R. [See also NRCC/CL 9/1/1651]
