DescriptionSome papers derived from the Hutchinson family, who were relations of Chaytor, and were lawyers and landowners in Barnard Castle & district.

In a letter to his father, 12 May 1757, W.C. refers to a legal case initiated by Mr Hutchinson against Mrs Blanchard for possession of his uncle's and father's papers which he needed for (inter alia) a problem concerning the manor of Eggleston [ZQH 10/50/49]
