Recites that Edward Ellerington of Brichall par. Thoydon Boyer, co. Essex esq. and William Carrington of Spanton gent. acknowledged in the Court of King's Bench a debt of £800 to J.S. (22 March 1637); and that the premises were subsequently delivered by the Sheriff of Yorkshire to J.S. to be held until the debt was satisfied, following an Inquisition taken at York Castle (18 June 1640).
