Description | Recites that Henry Brewster Darley has agreed that Thomas Powell, John Burnaby and Thomas Payler formerly Turner esqs., trustees for sale under will of Mary Payler of London spinster deceased, (16 July 1752) has agreed with them for the purchase of the manor of and property in Skirpenbeck, and Burton Fields alias Burton Closes in the constabulary of Stamford Bridge for the sum of £23,000; that £9,000 is due to Dame Hester Gray, widow of Sir James Gray, on a mortgage of the premises; and that the Archbishop has advanced £9,000 to H.B.D to redeem the mortgage: the Archbishop is to receive the Title Deeds of the premises as security for the repayment of the £9,000 advanced by him.
