Recites: 1. Mortgage dated 7, 8 December 1820 (1) Charles and John Lyon (2) William Sugden (3) James Hartley whereby the Lyons conveyed to Hartley property below as security for £186 and interest. 2. That the said sum and interest had not been paid and that James Hartley had contracted with William Walton for the sale of properties below for £120.
Now in consideration of £120 paid to (2) by (3), (1) and (2) convey to (3) : 2 messuages in Bowes adjoining premises of (3) on east, premises late of George Frederic Dote, then of (3) on west and south and by the town street on north, in the tenure of Simon Spenceley, William Deanham and Ann Bainbridge
