With certificate of conviction at the Petty Sessional court of Langbaurgh West on 7 March 1885 of George Reed of Trenholme labourer and Henry Ward of Ingleby Arncliffe labourer for stealing five pigeons value 4s 6d , the property of William Kitching, at the township of Trenholme in the parish of Whorlton on 15 February 1885. Reed and Ward were sentence to hard labour at the prison at Northallerton for two calendar months. Certificate dated 27 June 1887
