With certificate of conviction at the Quarter Sessions held at Northallerton on 27 June 1882 of Charles Shaw for breaking into the bakehouse of Thomas Atkinson and stealing 8s in silver and copper and two cheesecakes, the property of the said Thomas Atkinson, at the parish of Brotton on 2 June 1882. Shaw was sentenced to hard labour at the prison at Northallerton for two calendar months. Certificate dated 30 December 1882
