With certificate of conviction at the Quarter Sessions held at Northallerton on 27 June 1876 of James Munroe for breaking into the dwelling house of Robert Frank and stealing one bottle of champagne, one bottle of orange quinine wine, four pounds weight of gingerbread, and one razor, the property of the said Robert Frank, at the township of Allerston on 6 May 1876. Munroe, who had a previous conviction for felony, was sentenced to hard labour at the House of Correction at Northallerton for nine months and then to police supervision for five years.
