Parkinson had previously been convicted of a misdemeanour at the Quarter Sessions held at Northallerton and was then sentenced to hard labour for six months

Endorsed with names of witnesses and "true bill"



With certificate of conviction at the Quarter Sessions held at Northallerton on 4 April 1876 of Margaret Parkinson for obtaining by false pretences one lady's trimmed hat, one trimmed bonnet, three black lace falls, one silk ruffle, and one box, the property of Elizabeth Langdale, at the parish of St Michael in New Malton on 5 February 1876. Parkinson was sentenced to hard labour at the House of Correction at Northallerton for six calendar months. Certificate dated 10 October 1877
