With certificate of conviction at a Petty Sessions held at Guisborough on 21 January 1873 of Henry Milburn for stealing 1s, the property of William King Weatherill of Guisborough, at Guisborough on 20 January 1873. Instead of being imprisoned, Milburn was sentenced to be once privately whipped out of prison with 12 strokes of a birch rod by George Dove sergeant of police. Certificate dated 16 October 1877
