With certificate of conviction a Petty Sessions held at the borough of Middlesbrough on 8 April 1872 of Arthur Hamilton for stealing one cap, the property of Robert Henderson. Hamilton was sentenced to hard labour at the House of Correction at Northallerton for 14 days. Certificate dated 18 December 1874



With certificate of conviction at the Quarter Sessions for the West Riding held by adjournment at Sheffield on 6 January 1871 of John Wells and John Boyd for stealing five tame drakes and ten tame ducks, the property of Charles Herbert Hudson, at the parish of Kirk Sandall on 28 November 1870. Wells was sentenced to hard labour at the House of Correction at Wakefield in the West Riding for 12 calendar months. Certificate dated 14 December 1874
