With certificate of conviction at the Quarter Sessions for the East Riding held at Beverley on 27 June 1870 of John McBride for stealing one pair of boots, the property of Emma Ingamells. McBride, who had previously been convicted of felony at a Petty Sessions held at Scarborough on 14 April 1870, was sentenced to hard labour at the House of Correction at Beverley for six calendar months and then to police supervision for seven years.
