DescriptionOrder made at the Michaelmas Quarter Sessions 1866 appointing Leonard Thompson of Sheriff Hutton Park esquire, Joshua Francis Whittell of Upper Helmsley esquire, James Meek of Middlethorpe Lodge near the city of York esquire, Francis Simpson the younger of Foston clerk, William Walker Battye of Skelton Hall near the city of York esquire, and Robert Fenwick of Gate Fulford near the city of York esquire, all Justices of the Peace, and George Shann of the city of York doctor of medicine, as visitors to houses licensed for the reception of lunatics

Shann will be paid £10 for four visits in the year to all the licensed houses. John Holtby of the city of York attorney at law is to be clerk to the visitors and is be paid a salary of £10 for the year
