With certificate of conviction at the Assizes and General Gaol Delivery for Yorkshire held at York Castle on 7 March 1850 of Matthias Sherwood the younger for breaking into the dwelling house of James Grisdale Fawcett at the parish of Stockton on the Forest on 18 December 1849 and stealing one pork pie value 1s, one dish value 6d, three pounds weight of butter value 1s, three pots of dripping value 6d, three earthen ware pots value 6d, and three pots value 6d, the property of James Grisdale Fawcett. Sherwood was sentenced to hard labour in the House of Correction at Northallerton for nine calendar months. Certificate dated 3 April 1851
