Order dated 7 March 1845 to John Earle chief constable of the division of Gilling East to give notice to the overseers of the poor of the townships in his division to appear before the magistrates of Gilling East at the Black Bull Inn in Scorton on 4 April 1845 each with a list of substantial householders, in order that the magistrates may select two of them to act as overseers of the poor for the coming year
