With certificate of conviction at the Quarter Sessions held at Northallerton on 3 January 1843 of Mark Eden late of the House of Correction at Northallerton labourer for stealing four sovereigns, two half-sovereigns, eight half-crowns, two shillings and a sixpence, the property of George Severs, at the parish of South Kilvington. Eden was sentenced to hard labour for four calendar months. Certificate dated 3 July 1844
