Undated note from A.J. Scott vicar of Catterick that Margaret Bell was delivered of an illegitimate child within the last month at Catterick, where she belongs. John Hills, as reputed father, has entered into a recognizance to appear at Quarter Sessions. Scott can certify that the child was born on 12 July, and that Hills has made a deposition, and he asks for the recognizance to be suspended
