From 21 July 1818 the highway commonly called Crake Trees has been in disrepair in the township of Muker from Crake Trees Gate northward to where it adjoins the highway from Muker to Reeth, being 275 yards in length and 10 feet in breadth

Metcalfe is responsible for repairing the highway by reason of his tenure of Crake Trees Farm adjoining the highway
