Description | Bill of indictment of Jonathan Briggs of Pickering Marishes in the parish of Pickering yeoman for not repairing part of the highway from Thornton to Yedingham in the East Riding
From 1 January 1810 the highway has been in disrepair in the parish of Pickering from a wagon shade near the said highway belonging to and adjoining the dwelling house of Jonathan Briggs to a gate on the same highway belonging to Thomas Bielby which divides the farms occupied by Briggs and Bielby, being 650 yards in length and 7 yards in breadth
Briggs is responsible for repairs by reason of his tenure and occupation of lands adjoining the highway
