| Description | Recognizance made by Luke Body of Thornton le Moor barkeeper for his appearance at the next Quarter Sessions to prefer a bill of indictment against James Turner of Olithorpe [?Oglethorpe] in the West Riding and John Lord of Wolsingham in Lancashire for stealing six stones of old iron value 20s from a chest standing in a barn in Thornton le Beans. Part of the iron was found in the custody of Turner but they confessed that the rest had been sold to John Oliver of Borrowby |
