She believes that she was born at Drogheda in Ireland, and about 19 years ago went to see friends at Liverpool in Lancashire and married James Lowther a seaman residing at Liverpool. About 11 years ago she heard that her husband had died in a French prison. She had been informed by her husband that he had gained a settlement at Liverpool by serving an apprenticeship as a sailor
