DescriptionBill of indictment of Edmund Robinson of Thorpe Green in the parish of Little Ouseburn in the West Riding esquire for not repairing part of the highway from Dishforth to Boroughbridge

From 5 October 1799 the highway has been in disrepair in the township of Dishforth in the parish of Topcliffe at Green Lane, from a gate leading into a field adjoining the highway occupied by John Brown to a gate called Green Lane Gate at the extremity of Green Lane, being 880 yards in length and 20 feet in breadth

Robinson is liable for repairs by reason of his occupation of lands adjoining the highway

Endorsed with names of witnesses and "a true bill"
