- note dated 24 July 1797 and signed by the overseers of the poor of Stokesley that they have received H. Shipard from Christopher Smith in a pass cart
- order dated 6 November 1797 for Jane Clement and her two children, travelling with a pass from the Clerk of the Peace for county Durham having been apprehended in the city of Durham as vagrants, to be conveyed in a cart from Eryholme to Boroughbridge in the West Riding on their way to their place of settlement at Plymouth in Devon.
