From 19 July 1796 the highway has been in disrepair in the township of Rosedale East Side from a gate across the highway called Robert Potter's Gate to a place called Lowey Howe, being the boundary dividing the townships of Rosedale East Side and Danby, being 2,574 yards in length and 7 yards in breadth
