TitlePapers relating to relief paid to the families of militia substitutes
DescriptionBill of expenses and oath of Joseph Brown an overseer of the township of Bishop Auckland in county Durham that he has paid relief to:

- the wife and three children of Thomas Lonsdale, serving in the North York Militia as a substitute for Surster Arrowsmith of Eryholme in the wapentake of Gilling

- the wife and three children of Joseph Lonsdale, serving in the North York Militia as a substitute for George Sotheran of Ampleforth in the wapentake of Ryedale, in place of David Robinson discharged by the commanding officer

- the wife and child of William Simpson, serving in the North York Militia as a substitute for Mathew Agar of Danby in the wapentake of Langbaurgh East

- the wife of Robert Thorp, serving for John Wilson of Glaisdale in Langbaurgh East division
