Description | Plea of Robert Goodall and Roger Wilson, two of the inhabitants of the parish of Normanby, for themselves and the rest of the inhabitants, relating to the indictment of part of the highway between the north end of Normanby Bridge and a gate placed across the highway on the fence or boundary of Normanby West Field towards the east side of the field, being 44 yards in length. The indictment is true and they submit themselves to the judgement of the court. Goodall and Wilson for themselves and the rest of the inhabitants of Normanby (Thomas Huddlestone excepted) say that they ought not to be prosecuted for the residue of the highway, as Huddlestone, by reason of his tenure of lands and tenements in the parish, is responsible for repairing the residue of the highway; with copy
