Description | Letter from W. Dent at Thirsk to William Wailes esquire at Northallerton. He encloses examinations etc taken on account of Handley's servant who was committed to the House of Correction on suspicion of felony. Dent asks for him to be kept in prison. He does not doubt that he is guilty, but fears that little can be done unless he stays in prison. Should he take Handley's and Dale's recognizances and bring them in the morning, and what can be done with the people who bought the goods?
