TitlePetition relating to John Brough late of Old Malton
DescriptionPetition to the Justices in Quarter Sessions from parishioners of the parish of Old Malton. John Brough late of Old Malton but now a prisoner in the House of Correction at Northallerton, was charged with being the father of a bastard child and not finding sureties. The overseers of the parish of Old Malton have maintained the child and also supported the family of Brough since he was imprisoned. They ask for Brough to be released, hoping that the hardships that he has experienced will make him do his best to support his family
