DescriptionVouchers relating to the bill of expenses of William Parker in conveying vagrants [QSB 1782 1/15/23]. The orders, dated between 3 October 1781 and 3 January 1782, are to convey vagrants mainly from Kirby Hill to Blewgrass in Westmorland, on their way to their place of settlement. Includes:

- Elizabeth Barff, apprehended in the town of Market Harborough and on her way to her place of settlement in Ashilby [Exelby] in the parish of Burneston, with a pass from one of the Justices for Leicestershire

- Thomas Barns, apprehended in the Bishops Fee and on his way to his place of settlement in Bishopbridge in county Durham, with a pass from one of the Justices for Leicestershire

- James Lorryman and Theadore Johnson, apprehended in the town of Wetherby and on their way to their place of settlement in Gretna Green in Scotland, with a pass from one of the Justices for the West Riding

- Elizabeth Bracken and her children Margaret aged 9 years, Thomas aged 7 years, John aged 5 years and James aged 2 years, apprehended in the parish of St Saviour in Southwark and on their way to their place of settlement in the town of Lanark in Scotland, with a pass from one of the Justices for Surrey

- Easter Noble and her children William aged 6 years, Thomas aged 2 years and John aged 1 year, apprehended in the parish of St Margaret and on their way to their place of settlement in the parish of Milnthorpe in Westmorland, with a pass from one of the Justices of the borough of Kings Lynn in Norfolk

- John Brown, apprehended in the town of Doncaster and on his way to his place of settlement in Lochmaben in Scotland, with a pass from one of the Justices for the borough of Doncaster

- Gilbert Malcoln, apprehended in the town of Wisbech St Peter's and on his way to his place of settlement in Dumfries in Scotland, with a pass from one of the Justices of the Isle of Ely

- Andrew Teit, apprehended in the town of Wisbech St Peter's and on his way to his place of settlement in Dumfries in Scotland, with a pass from one of the Justices of the Isle of Ely

- George Steel, apprehended in the town of Sutterton and on his way to his place of settlement in Penicuik in Tweeddale in Scotland, with a pass from one of the Justices for the parts of Holland

- Jane Shaw, apprehended in the town of Sheffield and on her way to her place of settlement in Donegal in county Antrim in Ireland, with a pass from one of the Justices for the West Riding

- Jane McNaughton and her two children, apprehended in the town of Sheffield and on their way to their place of settlement in Glasgow in Scotland, with a pass from one of the Justices for the West Riding

- Walter Heslop, apprehended in the parish of Surfleet and on his way to his place of settlement in Scotland, with a pass from one of the Justices for the parts of Holland in Lincolnshire

- James Macquare, his wife and daughter, apprehended in the Bishops Fee and on their way to their place of settlement in Dumfries in Scotland, with a pass from one of the Justices for Leicestershire

- Mary Barnes and two children, apprehended in the parish of St Edmund and on their way to their place of settlement in the parish or chapelry of Barnard Castle in county Durham, with a pass from one of the Justices for the city of New Sarum. With receipt for Mary Barnes and two children from Thomas Alderson constable of Barnard Castle

- Thomas Simpson, apprehended in the town of Doncaster and on his way to his place of settlement in Whitehaven in Cumberland, with a pass from one of the Justices from the borough of Doncaster

- Ann Watts, apprehended in the parish of St Mary Woolnoth and on her way to her place of settlement in Glasgow in Scotland, with a pass from one of the Justices for the City of London

- Mary Felton, apprehended in the town of Pontefract and on her way to her place of settlement in Glasgow in Scotland, with a pass from one of the Justices for the borough of Pontefract
