| Description | Bill of indictment of Thomas Hall esquire, William Dale yeoman, Robert Newsham yeoman and John Ransome yeoman, all late of Hornby, and Henry Stephenson late of Whinholme yeoman for not paying a constable sess of 4s 6d for lands at Hornby in the constabulary of Appleton Wiske. The sess was levied on 1 June 1695 on the inhabitants of Appleton Wiske and was demanded by William Mattison constable of the township of Appleton Wiske on 1 July 1695
