DescriptionBill of indictment of Francis Jackson of Sheriff Hutton yeoman for not scouring the watercourse called Stitnam Carre Becke which runs across his lands to the mill at Stittenham called Stitnam Mill occupied by George Stockdale

From 1 May 1695 the watercourse has been obstructed on Jackson's land at Stittenham and water has not been able to flow to the mill

Jackson is liable to scour the watercourse by reason of his tenure of land at Stittenham

Endorsed with name of witness and "true bill"
