Summary of case: ‘This man was exempted till Oct 1 1918. Considering the obligation in the interests of agriculture to keep down rabbits and the fact that the food supply is in a measure dependent on the supply of game I agreed to a further exemption if the man was not exempted from joining the Volunteer Force. The Tribunal exempted him for 3 months more and directed he was not to join the Volunteer Force. I appeal against the decision on the ground that he is not too far from Masham to attend the drills there.’
