Appeal is countersigned by employer, Mr Edwards, manager at A & S Wheater Summary of case: Hall had special knowledge of the work involved in ‘the erection of hutments’ on the Hipswell section of Catterick Camp. A & S Wheater were contractors to the War Department. Hall wrote to the North Riding appeal tribunal on 23 Jun 1916 explaining that the work was complete and he had written to the Recruiting Officer ‘to ascertain when I am to report for Military Service’.(See also NRCC/CL/9/1/984)
