Mr Peckett has entire control of my staff and is responsible for the satisfactory working of all messes contracted with. A skilled and trained man whose work comprises all duties encountered upon a manager and the loss of whose services would necessitate terminating entirely all my [remaining] contracts, which are at 28 daysÂ’ notice. Also as manager, supervisor, representative, buyer, correspondent, accountant and controller in general on my behalf. Solely engaged, seven days weekly, on military work. Has also dependant in shape of daughter, six years, for whose welfare and ........ he is solely responsible.
