Summary of Case: Appellant has urgent work for War Department which should be finished in three months. The company employ 1300 workmen and are claiming exemption 12 only. The papers include a letter from the War Department, Supervising engineers (Harper Brothers and Company) stating that ‘Messrs W. Boot and I.P Baines’ services will be necessary for the completion of this camp until the end of July next. The services of Messrs Longstaff and Brown as far as work on this camp is concerned can be dispensed with immediately.’
