He was medically graded 1 but by permission of the appeal tribunal (on production of 2 private medical reports) he was granted leave to be re-examined. He has now been graded 2. His is a purely one-man business. According to a printed circular dated 26 July 1918 sent out to all Butchers Association by their Head Association in London it is stated that the following regard to butchers who are carrying on a one man business viz: - that all Grade 1 men over 45 shall be exempt, that all Grade 2 men over 33 shall be exempt.
