Summary of case: This man is the only one remaining in the Hardware department. His work requires special knowledge, training and experience. This department is the principal one in the business and includes besides general Hardware, Engineers’ Plumbers and Works supplies. At the present time practically all the business in these lines is being carried on under Class “A” adds “B” Ministry of Munitions Certificates and e claim he is doing work of National importance. 5 men were employed in this department before the War, all of whom, except Dowler have joined the Army.
