Summary of case: This is my only son left at home and his father is a cripple. My eldest son is on active service in France. My other son Robert Henry was killed whilst on active service in France. The son claimed for is the mainstay of the home.’ Joseph Ronald Husband writes: ‘I will do any work as far as helping the army but fighting I could not do for I feel it is breaking God’s laws. I have been a Christian from being a lad and have tried by God’s help to keep his commandments. God died and suffered on the cross that we may live.
