Summary of case: Bean is the foreman in charge of the gardens and the outside land. He is the only gardener as the remainder of the staff are old labourers and one boy and the estate depends on him to crop the land efficiently. Large quantities of vegetables and fruit have, in the past, been sent to Pickering Red Cross and other institutions. This man is irreplaceable and is doing good work and should be allowed to remain in his present occupation.
